Grated Carrots : 1 cup
Milk : 1.5 cups
Sugar or honey to taste
. Cook the grated carrot for 5 minutes and allow it to cool.
. In a blender, add the carrots, sugar and milk and blend until very smooth.
. Then add the ice cubes and blend it again for few seconds.
. Pour the milkshake into glasses, garnish with grated carrot and serve immediately.
2 medium size banana
2 medium size mangoes
2 or 2 1/2 cups of almond milk or cow’s milk
2 to 3 tbsp sugar or powdered jaggery (more or less as per your taste)
4-5 ice cubes (optional)
dry fruits like cashew nuts, almond for garnish (optional)
How to make mango banana milkshake
. Wash the mangoes, peel and chop them into small pieces.
. Peel the banana and chop them.
. Add the chopped banana and mango in a blender.
. Add sugar or jaggery as per your taste.
. Add the almond milk or regular milk.
. You can also add ice cubes at this stage or add at the end while serving.
. Blend everything well and pour in glasses.
. Add chopped dry fruits of your choice like cashew nuts or almonds on top as garnish.
. Serve mango banana milkshake immediately.
2-3 cardamom or ¼ tsp cardamom powder
sugar as required
some ice cubes
a few mint leaves for garnishing – optional
. Peel and chop the mangoes.
. Crush the cardamom.
. Add the chopped mangoes, almonds, crushed cardamom, sugar and ice cubes in a blender.
. Blend till smooth.
. Pour the smoothie in long glasses or mugs.
. Top with some chopped mangoes and fresh mint leaves.
. Serve mango almond smoothie.
Lemon – 1, large
Sugar – 2 tbsps (dissolve in 1/4 cup warm water) OR honey
Salt – pinch
Black salt – 1/2 tsp (optional)
Sabja seeds – 1 tbsp (sweet basil seeds)
Water – 600 ml
How to make Sabja Lemon Juice
. Clean the sabja seeds of any grits or stones and wash the seeds.
. In a bowl, add 1/3 cup luke warm water and the washed and drained seeds. Allow the seeds to bloom.
. They will begin to swell within 15-30 mts of soaking. When you observe a trasparent jelly like coating over the seed, they are ready for use.
. In a bowl, add juice of one lemon, sugar syrup, salt and black salt. Mix well.
. Add water and sabja seeds along with any left over water. Mix well.
. Pour into serving glasses, add ice cubes and serve.
Watermelon chopped -1 cup
Muskmelon chopped -1 cup
Honey -1 tsp (optional)
Ice cubes -2-3
. Peel the skin and scoop out the seeds for both musk melon and watermelon. Cut it into cubes.
. In a blender, combine together watermelon, muskmelon, crushed ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!!
Note: You do not need honey but if required add a tsp of honey along with the fruits and blend everything together.
Plain yogurt or curd – 1 cup
Cold water – 1 ½ cups
Roasted cumin powder – ½ teaspoon
Black salt – ¼ teaspoon
Black pepper powder – ⅛ teaspoon
Salt – to taste
How to make Chaas Recipe
. Take yogurt in a bowl or patila. Add salt, black salt, roasted cumin powder and black pepper powder.
. Add chilled water.
. Using madani or valonu, whisk everything well. Instead you can use wire whisk or hand blender.
. Whisk it till it gets frothy.
. If not serving right away then keep in refrigerator to keep it chilled. Pour into serving glasses.
Ice- cream (your choice of flavor) – 3 cups
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar- 1 tablespoon (optional)
. Add all ingredients in blender. (I added few almonds because I love chocolate with almonds. You can add your choice of topping or keep plain.)
. Turn on the blender and keep going till you get your desire consistency.
. Pour in to the glass and enjoy in this summer.
6-8 Tbsp condensed milk
. Wash the plums and put them in the mixie.
. Add condensed milk and ice and blend.
. Pour it into a glass or jug through a sieve.
. Serve cool with crushed ice
1 kg red pomegranate (anar)
1 kg sugar
1/2 kg water
ice as required
rock salt (kala namak) as required
1/4 tsp potassium meta bi sulphate (optional)
How to make anar ka sharbat
. Peel anar.
. Boil sugar and water.
. Boil it to one sugar syrup strand.
. Take out juice of pomegranate.
. Let syrup cool, and then add anar ka juice and potassium meta bi sulphate.
. Fill it in a bottle.
. Serve it in a glass with water, kala namak, crushed ice.
1/4th cup blanched Almond (Badam)
2 cup Milk (Doodh)
1/4 tsp Cardamom seeds
3 tblsp Honey (Shahad)
. Place the nuts in a blender and process until finely chopped.
. Add 2/3 cup mil and process until smooth paste.
. Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed pan and whisk the remaining milk.
. Place the milk over moderately high heat and, stirring constantly, bring it to full boil.
. Remove the pan from the heat, add cardamom seeds.
. Place the pan over high heat and bring to boil.
. Remove the pan from the heat and add honey.
. Again place the pan over heat and bring the milk to just boiling point, pour it the strainer resting over a pan.
. Pour the milk back and forth from one pan to another for at least a minute or until frothy.
. Pour into warmed mugs and serve at once.
